April’s meeting was a very successful Antiques Roadshow featuring TV personalities Thomas Plant and Hugo Marsh.
Proceeds from ticket sales of £430 were donated to the Swindon 5-18 Counselling Project which councils children who are having difficulty coming to terms with their parents separating and divorcing.
Thomas gave us a very entertaining talk of his path to TV fame and many unusual objects were brought for identification and valuing.
There were lots of delicious homemade cakes, hot and cold beverages in plentiful supply. A raffle on the night and refreshments helped boost WI funds by £125.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by everyone. Broad Town WI would like to thank you for your support.
