Our July meeting was held at the White Horse Pub at Winterbourne Bassett. We took advantage of the lovely warm evening by walking from Broad Hinton Church, across the fields to Winterbourne Bassett where we were met by some non-walkers. There were twenty one of us in all. We chatted over a few drinks and most of us enjoyed a meal. We then made the return journey across the fields as the light was fading and the sky was tinged red with the setting sun.
In August we have our summer outing to Highclere House (better known as Downton Abbey).
In September we will be back in Broad Town Village hall at 7.30pm, with a members meeting when we will be sharing good books we have read, nice places to eat, recommended places to holiday, interesting places to go for a day out etc.
