The Christmas Foodbank Collection will be on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December between 9 am & 4pm. at the Village Hall. The Hall is being used on the Sunday but the hirer is happy for us to have our collection as usual.
We have been informed that the Foodbank is particularly short of the following:-
- Longlife juice
- Tinned Fruit
- Tinned Meat
- Tinned Fish
- Toileteries (not sanitary wear)
- Household cleaning products (i.e. surface spray, washing up liquid and laundry pods)
How to get food
- If you find yourself in the situation where you are struggling, please do not worry or hesitate about getting in touch. There are many frontline care professionals such as doctors, schools, CAB and social workers amongst others who you can go to and they will talk you through your current situation, giving you the best guidance for the way forward.
- Once you have a voucher or a text referral has been sent through to the distribution centre of your choice, then come along and collect your food parcel.
Where to get a referral
- Citizens Advice Bereau.
- The library in Royal Wootton Bassett
- You can telephone 03444994114 or email advice@swindon.cabnet.org.uk
Letter from the Foodbank
" A big thank you to everyone at Broad Town Community Group and Broad Town School who donated 46.6 kgs of food during Harvest 2021.
This will help us greatly, as we continue helping people in Royal Wootton Bassett and surrounding areas who are in Food Crisis.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity"
