Information for hirers

 

The Village Hall is situated on the main road through the village, almost opposite Pye Lane, on the left hand side as you begin to go up the hill towards Br

The Hall comprises:                  

• large hall – 7.3m x 4.9 m x 3m  - 24’ x 49’

• stage area – 5m x 2.6m x 2.3m  - 16’ 6” x 8’ 6”

• kitchen area complete with cooker, fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, kettles etc

• bar area – useable only when specifically booked

• Ladies & Gents toilets [Ladies with baby changing facilities]

• parking

  There is Free Community WiFi available kindly provided by Gigaclear  www.gigaclear.com                                                                                                                    Log in details are on the Noticeboard in the entrance. 

The hall is heated and well lit. The maximum number permitted in the Hall is currently 99.  Hirers are responsible for ensuring compliance with this.

 

Hire charges

£9.00 per hour

Minimum charge for all bookings £15.00

 

The key is available from the key safe on the wall outside the Hall.  The code will be given to you by the Booking Secretary.  Please return immediately after use. Tables are stacked in the storeroom, in the main hall.  Chairs are to one side of the Hall (extra on the stage).   Please replace, in original positions, after use (chair stacks no more than 6 high thank you).

The key for opening windows is on the key ring. Please close and lock windows when vacating the hall.

The kitchen contains approximately 80 cups, saucers, plates and cutlery. Tea towels are not supplied.

 

After use:         

• Switch off all heaters
• Switch off all lighting
• Ensure all windows are closed and locked
• Open curtains
• Switch off water heater in kitchen
• Replace chairs & tables in original positions
• LOCK ALL DOORS ON LEAVING PREMISES

Equipment is not to be removed without prior consent but is available for hire for outside use.

 

Please notify the Booking Secretary of any problems encountered during your booking, so that we may endeavour to rectify the situation.

 

Please ensure access to the houses at the rear of the Hall is kept clear.  Please park tidily on the right of the access road to these houses if you need extra parking.  The left side of the main road facing downhill below Pye Lane is also suitable.
