Olympic Torch procession

It seemed possible, for a while, that the Olympic Torch procession might pass through Broad Town on its way between Wroughton and RWB. However, as the linked itinerary shows,  the timetable is such that the movement of the torch between centres of population has to be by car. The torch cavalcade will do Bristol to Cheltenham in one day (May 23rd), and could not therefore be "run" the whole way.

The torch is due in Bassett from 1232 to 1300. This linked file indicates the street-by-street route. With police, sponsors' vehicles, runner support vehicles, etc, a 15-minute long parade is expected.

Re: Olympic Torch procession
Surely it is entirely a coincidence that the potholed stretch of road which arrives at Junction 16 from Wroughton has been resurfaced just in time for the Olympic torch procession to pass that way?
