MINUTES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

HELD ON MONDAY 11TH JANUARY 2010

Present: Cllr R. Bourton, Chairman, Cllrs S. Bilis, J. Pullen and Mrs V. Stubings

Also present: One member of the public.

Apologies were received from Cllrs J. Brain and Mrs J. Newman

1. The minutes of the meeting held on 14th December 2009 were signed as being a true record.

Planning

2. No 5 Ham Cottages. It was noted that the retrospective application for the garage, which had not been built in accordance with the planning permission granted, had been refused.

 Finance

3. The mandate for the inclusion of the new councillors to become signatories to the Bank accounts was completed.

4. A cheque for £169.15 was made payable to Sodexho for grass cutting at Redhills (Oct-Dec)

Letters. Contents noted.

Parish Matters.

5. Grit Bins. Somebody has been emptying grit bins, meant for keeping roads passable, for their own use. It is known that it is being done on a larger scale over this area, but this is being done by local people. Not only is grit not available for keeping traffic moving, it is theft.

6. Raynors Yard, Bushton Road. There is no drainage here, and water is pooling. This has made road conditions very hazardous as ice has now formed.

7. The  water leaking from the BT manhole cover near the layby at East Farm is still causing safety concerns. Although the road has been gritted and signs put in place the underlying cause has not been dealt with. WC are aware; Clerk will pursue.

The meeting closed at 19.50 hrs.

(signed) R.J.Davey, Clerk
